The PS 230 School Leadership Team (SLT) is a group of administrators, teachers and parents who meet monthly and work collaboratively on the Comprehensive Educational Plan (CEP). The Comprehensive Educational Plan includes the school's goals and objectives for the current school year. The School Leadership Team also provides a forum where school news, and issues specific to the PS 230 community, can be addressed.
All School Leadership Teams must have an equal number of parents and staff. Elections for parent members are held after the PTA elections each spring. Any open seats are filled at the first PTA Meeting in September. The Principal, the PTA President, and the UFT representative (or their designees) are automatically on the team.
The School Leadership Team encourages involvement from members of the school community and welcomes attendance at its meeting. The agenda for each meeting is posted the week prior to the meeting. Questions or comments for the School Leadership Team may be forwarded to any member of the team.
