What year did you become a member of the PS 230 community?

I started teaching in 1997 and transferred to PS 230 in 1999. I've taught First Grade, Physical Education, Kindergarten, Third, Fourth and Fifth Grades throughout my twenty year career.

What do you like to do for fun?

When I'm not at PS 230, my second home, I thoroughly enjoy spending my free time with my three children at the Jersey Shore, taking day trips, watching them compete in various sports, playing games and reading together. In my free time, I enjoy reading fiction and biographies, listening to music, exercising and going to the beach.

What is your favorite part of the school day?

My favorite part of the school day is morning arrival. I love spending time in the cafeteria and outside in the yard greeting the children. The children's smiling faces and eagerness to come to school and learn motivates and inspires me.
